FlashBB has been updated for use with phpBB 3.0 final! It had previously been updated for use with the 3.0 release candidates, but it now works well with the most recent stable version of phpBB.

One known limitation: FlashBB will only display the first two levels of the category/forum hierarchy in phpBB. FlashBB 1.1.9 is FREE (we're only charging for the Flash sources at this point!)

FlashBB 1.1.7 has been released! The following bugs were fixed in this version:

- characters like ', <, >, & are properly displayed

- "Warning: Cannot use scalar value as an array in..." message has been fixed.

- "Warning: Passed variable is not an array or object in..." message has been fixed.

The "bbxml" popup error that some users experienced has been addressed. The changed files are:

- tool_inc.php (in every folder for each version of phpbb or vbulletin)

- flashBB.swf (and pseudo/XMLDocument.as from the FlashBB source code).

You only should update your FlashBB if you have not been able to get FlashBB working due to this popup error, which appears when FlashBB is loaded for the first time.

A minor update has been made to the FlashBB .SWF file. There was a minor bug in the showVersion parameter that has been fixed. Only the .swf file has been updated.

A minor fix to the phpBB v3 integration, which was reported on the forum, as been fixed. If you are using phpBB v3, please use the latest version of FlashBB instead of your current version.

FlashBB has been updated for use with vBulletin 3.6.x. There are no new features other than the compatibility upgrade for vBulletin. If you are not a vBulletin 3.6.x user, you do not need to perform this upgrade.

FlashBB has been updated for use with phpBB 3.0 beta. There are no new features in the flash interface, only an integration update so that it works with this latest version of phpBB. An update for vBulletin 3.6.x is currently in development.

If you already have FlashBB installed with phpBB 2.x, and have recently upgraded your phpBB installation to 3.0 beta, then you will need to manually remove the FlashBB table, phpbb_flash_user_config, before re-uploading FlashBB to your server. The FlashBB installer will re-create this table on first run.

An all new version of FlashBB is now available! In this version, 1.1.5, the following changes and new features are available:

- Updated vBulletin integration is available for 3.5.1.

- New documentation is available at http://www.tufat.com/docs/flashbb/index.html

- Private messaging is now available for all bulletin boards supported by FlashBB.

- Several minor bug fixes that have been reported on the forum.

A very early beta version of FlashBB 1.1.5 is now available for download from http://www.tufat.com/download.php

In this new beta, private message is enabled, the vBulletin integration has been updated for 3.5.1, and new documentation is available at http://www.tufat.com/docs/flashbb/index.html

The Flash source code has been updated, but it will be updated again in the final release of 1.1.5.

FlashBB has been modified to work well with vBulletin 3.5. The phpBB 2.x and vBulletin 3.0.x integrations have also been improved. If you have ever had any difficulty installing FlashBB over your phpBB or vBulletin system, please try this version.

New beta 1.1.3 version released! In this version - viewable by logging into the TUFaT.com forum, then clicking Try FlashBB, there are many different layout options, which each user can configure on his or her own simply by dragging and dropped panes.

Also, this release of FlashBB includes suport for vBulletin 3.0.3 and 3.0.7, although it has not yet been tested with vBulletin 3.5 (the up-coming new release of vBulletin).

I expect to make this version final by September 2005.
