Transparency support has been added to FlashCard! You can now make objects semi-transparent, including shapes and text. Borders can also be semi-transparent, and can even have a different level of transparency from the fill areas of shapes. The PDF generator for FlashCard has also been updated to support this transparency.

Fonts for FlashCard Sets 3, 4, and 5 have been released! You can greatly expand the available fonts for FlashCard with these new font sets, each of which contains:

- config.xml file that you can use for each font set.

- All Flash source code (the .fla files used to generate the font .swf files)

- Files needed to use the font set with the PDF generator for FlashCard.

- PDF file and Word document detailing all of the fonts that are included in the font set.

You must have FlashCard 2.7.0 or higher to use these new font sets. The new font sets can be viewed and purchased from here:

An exciting new feature has been added to FlashCard: integration with content management systems and bulletin boards! The version has been incremented to 2.7.0 for this substantial new feature.

FlashCard is now capable of reading user data from your CMS/BB user database, so your users can use their existing login for FlashCard.

The exact same integration files that are used with FlashChat are being used with FlashCard (and they are even located in the same place - /inc/cmses/), so any time FlashChat is updated, you can be sure that the integration will also work with FlashCard by simply copying the updated file to the /inc/cmses/ folder.

Instructions for integration are included in the readme.txt file, as well as at step 2 of the FlashCard installer. If you already have FlashCard operating on a server, you will need to re-install it from scratch to use this CMS/BB integration feature.

FlashCard 2.6.7 is now available. In this update, the "domit" XML parser has been updated to the latest version, 1.1. This update is only needed if you have FlashCard 2.6.6 and receive errors (or no email) when emailing an e-card. If FlashCard already works well for you, there is no need to upgrade.

FlashChat v.2.6.6 has now been released! In this version, there are just two minor bug fixes:

- Garamond font SWF files have been added.

- FlashCard should now work with versions of GD lower than 2.0.18. In such older version, a space (rather than a semicolon) was used as the path separator for font files. This was producing a "Warning: Could not find/open font" message previously, but that issue has now been corrected.

A minor patch to "index_free.php" has been made, and may be downloaded from the FlashCard code depot:

Two minor bugs have been fixed in the 2.6.3 version of FlashCard:

- text rotation bug from 2.6.2 fixed

A bug fix when viewing FlashCard with Mozilla Firefox has been made: the backgrounds and embedded graphics sometimes could not be displayed or added to the e-card.

Update has been released as 2.6.1, and the updated files have been uploaded to the FlashCard Code Depot:

This is a patch release with the following fixes:

- delete key issue from forum
- font name issue when the name differs from the actual file name
- extra check for the presence of the imagettfbbox function in step 1 of the installer

In this release, there are both new features and patches to the previous version, including....

- Fix for text scaling when card is saved and re-loaded.
- Preview feature for viewing / printing the e-card before actually sending as a JPG
- Ability of users to upload their own background images or graphic objects, provided they are non-progressive JPGs
- Addition of the original FlashCard skin as a new Flat skin
- Ability in the XML to specify the order and names of fonts as they appear in Flash
- New XML options to specify the grid line spacing and color
