How you can help
There are a lot of ways that you can assist with osDate development. Some of them are outlined below.
Documentation Help
If there is a topic that you think should be addressed in the documentation, please feel free to write up a few pages. You can do this in HTML, as a PDF, or a Wod document. Please be sure to include screeenshots. You'll receive acknowledgements for your contribution in the form of a byline at the top of your documentation page. It's possible that I would re-format your document to fit the style of this online documentation.
Forum Help
There are a lot of newbies to osDate who need help on the forum. Unfortunately, Vijay, Shahid, and myself are quite swamped already with development and design efforts for osDate and other scripts on TUFaT.com. Thus, I'm essentially relying on the osDate community to help out others.
Coding Help
If you're a PHP/MySQL or Flash developer, you can help with the osDate coding effort directly by uploading your source code to the Code Depot. Please include a brief description of what your code does and how you think it would help users. The code from the Code Depot is considered free / GPL, so if you don't want people, including Darren, to use it, then don't post it there. Please do not post copyrighted or offensive materials in the Code Depot.
Promotion
You can help "get the word out" on osDate by promoting it on your website. You can even rack up affiliate points by becoming a TUFaT.com affiliate, and placing a banner ad to the $5 Script Archive on your website. Write a good review for osDate, or suggest it to your online buddies. The more people that use osDate, the more testing help and feedback I'll get.
Monetary Assistance
There's nothing like cold cash! Monetary help with osDate enables me to spend more time developing osDate, and less time on freelance development projects that I'm involved with. It also allows me to hire designers, testers, and developers who can contribute in measurable ways to osDate.
